With something as fagile as your soul, I'd recommend dry cleaning, myself.
Although, it would be fun to take it to the laundromat, put it in one of the big front loading washers, start the cycle, and watch it go round and round, while all the while it's screaming "let me out, let me out..."
Or we could just do that with Bird himself...
